I sit and I stare

At the big fat moon

Wishing for wishes

To come true soon

Pretending, hoping

You’ll always care

But the cow whispers

That life’s not fair

The fork just laughs

While the very silly

Spoon tells a dare

While the cracked

Dish states old lies

The man just sighs

Says with tired eyes

I don’t know the half

As he softly soothes

The moons sorry cries
